Sourav Ganguly to captain Pune Warriors India for IPL 2012

Sourav Ganguly, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, will be the captain of Pune Warriors India (PWI) for the IPL Season 5 in 2012. Initially, there were rumors that Ganguly would take on a dual role of captain and coach, but he denied these rumors and stated that Yuvraj Singh would captain the team.

According to a fan site dedicated to Sourav Ganguly, he has confirmed that he will lead the Pune Warriors India and is working hard to prepare for the upcoming season. Ganguly had a successful Ranji season with Bengal Team, where he helped Bengal avoid relegation by scoring 424 runs at an average of 53 in 4 matches.

However, there has been no official announcement from the Pune Warriors India side yet, so these reports should be treated as rumors.
